The Cliffs of Lucy Vincent
Oil on Linen, 36" x 24", 1991

This composition was mostly about the curve of the cliffs echoed in the water-line and the seaweed on the shore. I was also interested in how the cliffs were reflected in the water. This was one of the earlier paintings where I had most of the detail work concentrated in about one third of the area, with large areas of color elsewhere.
