This painting was inspired by a recent trip to the UK. The scene is Piccadilly Circus in London, at night, looking down Regent Street. I was fascinated by the curves from this viewpoint, contrasting the vertical lines of the lights and windows. The solitary bus, with no other traffic or pedestrians, suggests it is late at night.
