Little Island Tulips at Sunset

This is a view of the underside of Little Island, an artificial park designed by Thomas Heatherwick, off the West Side of Manhattan. It is built over the Hudson River on top of 132 concreate “tulips”. We are looking west, with the setting sun behind the tulips, and Jersey City on the horizon. I was interested in the light and shade, neutral tones and subtle blues, oranges, and greens in the water and tulips, which look like high heels from this angle.
