This is Watts Street, SoHo. An ad for the Sorrel River Ranch resort in Utah provides a respite for this small urban street. There are many different spaces in this painting – the mannequins in the Negri store window, all of the images in the resort billboard, the entrance on the right, set back from the street, as well as the buildings in the top right, including 1 World Trade Center. Trees tie the composition together – the central tree and its shadow, the trees in the billboard, the bushes in front of the billboard, and the reflection of trees in the door on the right.
