Entrance to Foxrace Farm
Oil on Canvas, 24″ x 18″, 2004, Private Collection
This entrance is fascinating the way the light stretches across the drive, matching the pattern of the trees receding into the horizon. This is a pretty unusual composition, because the horizon is atypically near the center, and the space is tunnel-like down the middle. I tried to combat this with the orange that jumps out from the back, and also keeping the image very much on the surface that does not really fade with distance.
