Pickleball

The Seravalli Playground on Gansevoort Street is bathed in the warm glow of late afternoon sunlight during the fall season. The orange hues of the one building contrast against the clear blue sky. A group of people can be seen playing pickleball, with the West Village as their backdrop. A row of parked cars serves as a barrier, separating the court from the majestic city. The leaves on the trees are starting to turn yellow, adding to the autumnal atmosphere. The repeated use of rose-red ties the girl on the bike, player, and buildings together, while blue is used to unify the sky, windows, cars and figures. The repetition of rectangles in the shapes of the windows, buildings, and basketball backboards creates a sense of cohesion, while the leaves in the foreground tie in seamlessly with the trees in the middle ground.

It was only three months later that I passed by the playground and noticed this!
